**Job Summary**

The Transportation risk manager will be responsible for managing the risk and compliance processes for the Trucking Operations.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience.
- Experience with data analytics and trend analysis
- Ability to interpret and lead results.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite
- Must possess strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to work with business operations in a safety-first culture.
- Self-directed, decision-maker in a fast-paced spirited department
- Minimal travel to outside terminals is required.
- Able to effectively build close with other departments.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the risk of a transportation company.
- Work to develop policies and standards.
- Understand and stay on top of government safety regulations in Canada and the US
- Develops long and short-range transportation plans/programs for the purpose of ensuring the resources are effectively utilized.
- Work to manage risk and compliance policies and ensure effective implementation of all safety requirements.
- Have the ability to assess transportation incidents, complaints and/or accidents for the purpose of reaching and/or recommending process improvements and standards.
- Collaborating with staff members to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures, and company goals, while maintaining customer service objectives.
- Promoting safe work activities by conducting safety audits and participating in company safety meetings.

- College/University degree
- Certificate course in safety
- Customs knowledge
- A desire for future job progression
