Crisis Diversion Program Manager

- Friday (37.5 hours per week) with weekend and evening availability**REPORTS TO**:Director“Despite great challenges we believe unhealthy cycles can be broken, new opportunities created and, through healing, health restored.”The Program Manager is primarily responsible for the management of a team of workers and ensures the daily implementation of the BSCS vision. The Program Manager works to provide leadership in a manner that increases potential and capacity in personnel, operations, and community settings. The Program Manager responds to emergent needs within the community to ensure that the program achieves the service outcomes and objectives in an efficient manner.The Manager will support and directly supervise the 24/7 Crisis Diversion rogram.“We stand with our clients, side by side, patiently and for as long as they want - a constant and consistent caring force”**K**EY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Program Administration**
- Direct the day-to-day operations of programs (during service hours, appropriate staffing, necessary resources, and program supplies are made available, and occupational health and safety codes are followed and enforced).
- Manage and support frontline staff in their role(s) by observing performance, debriefing, and supporting staff development to ensure appropriate client services.
- Attend Semimonthly and monthly meetings consisting of funders, partners, and stakeholders.
- Provide direct management supervision and support to frontline staff of your teams and departments.
- Complete regular strategic planning and program evaluation.
- Participate and contrive ideas and strategies with funders and partners to benefit the program.
- Communicates effectively and consistently with funders and partners.
- Briefing colleagues on internal and external emerging opportunities, issues, trends and learnings in your area of work
**Human Resources**
- In collaboration with the Boyle Street leadership team, takes a lead role in staff hiring, on-boarding and off-boarding process for team members.
- Ensures proper training and professional development of staff and that they clearly understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Support other managers and members of the leadership team with hiring responsibilities.
- Coordinates day-to-day schedule and coverage, as well as time off requests.
- Responsible for making sure staff expenses are correctly approved and submitted.
- Ensures team members are aware and follow company policies and protocols.
- Provides sufficient debriefing following critical incidents to staff and reports matters to the appropriate authorities.
- Ensures conflict resolution occurs as needed and works with the HR Manager to oversee issues as required.
**Budget, Reporting and Funding**
- Completes all necessary reporting for funders.
- Ensures the proper and accurate collection of data for funding reports.
- Works with the Director of Programs and Finance to set and manage budgets annually.
**Leadership**
- Incorporates BSCS’ Mission and Values into all aspects of their work and the programs they are responsible for.
- Attend regular management meetings.
- Support the management team with the implementation of the strategic plan.
- Provide support to overall organization development (e.g., policy development, training development, etc.) as needed.
**Community Engagement**
- Attending and representing Boyle Street at all appropriate internal and external meetings.
- Build solid external partnerships with colleagues in government and the non-profit sector and explore ways to benefit those we serve collectively.

- Degree or Diploma in social or human services or a related field, and at least 3 years of relevant experience working with complex populations, youth, and families. They are expected to maintain and are in good standing with any applicable professional bodies they may be members of.- Significant experience working in leadership roles in multi-disciplinary teams.**Experience and Knowledge**
