**POSITION OVERVIEW**

As Bar Assistant, you are responsible for ensuring a great guest experience through maintaining the bar service areas, including inventory and preparation, as well as overall cleanliness of the location including washrooms, storage rooms, bar and walk-in coolers. Bar Assistants are a critical part of the service team, and may be working towards a Bartending role. As one of the most visible staff members, you maintain the highest service standards, and are guided by and live our Company’s Values: Be Real, Have Fun, Own It, and Grow With Us

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Complies with all company Policies and standard operating procedures
- Follows opening and closing checklists to ensure all job duties are complete
- Maintains good communication with all staff (bartenders and service staff), helping them efficiently carry out their duties
- Comfortably communicates using internal radio system (training provided)
- Ensures ice wells, garnish station, straws, fridges, glassware etc are replenished as required
- Maintains washroom cleanliness and stock throughout service
- Responsible for daily set up, testing, chemical supply, cleaning and shutdown of the glasswasher(s)
- Responsible for collecting litter, glassware and other items from service & operational areas of the venue, wiping down counters and table tops and cleaning all areas thoroughly and end of shift
- Responsible for understanding and executing proper cleaning procedures around dangerous items or chemicals (broken glass, dishwashing agents etc). Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and proper protocols should be followed at all times.
- Efficient use of consumables including bar rags (rinse & reuse etc) is encouraged.
- Observe and report to manager or security any issues or potential issues regarding intoxicated guests
- Ensures all fire exits and hallways are clear at all times - no storage permitted
- Follow appropriate stock rotation procedures at all times - oldest product to be used first
- Maintain highest levels of customer experience through professional conduct at all times

- Self-starter who works well in a team dynamic
- Customer-centered approach

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- prior experience in food/beverage service
- prior experience in customer service
- interest / familiarity with our brand and the entertainment we provide

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: $16.75 per hour
