Host - Wildlight Kitchen + Bar

_Wildlight_ is a new full-service restaurant by one of Western Canada’s largest employers. With a west coast concept and lively feel, _Wildlight_ will celebrate the current and distinctive food culture of British Columbia’s west shore, a region with an affinity for local and seasonal produce, fresh Pacific seafood, sustainability, cultural diversity, and chef-driven culinary traditions.
**We are hiring for a Host, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar ** **at our location in Vancouver, BC near the UBC area**
**You will be responsible for**:
- Taking reservations and maintaining reservation system.
- Warmly greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner & escorting guests to tables and assisting in seating.
- Ensuring that menus are accurate, clean and free of rips or stains.
- Assisting guests with locating their server if needed.
- Preparing tables and always maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant.
- Maintaining a complete knowledge and understanding of menus items.
- Thanking guests and inviting them to return again.
- Supporting other areas of the restaurant as necessary.
**You have**:
- Previous restaurant/host experience is considered an asset.
**You are**:
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests.
- Detail oriented with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Adaptable, open to change and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
