Corporate Services Director

Balsam is seeking a visionary leader to provide executive leadership and human resource and operational and fiscal management. This position requires a professional and innovative mindset.

This key leadership role is pivotal to building on the solid business and facility foundation of Balsam and will be part of the leadership team to lead the organization in the next evolution of its strategic vision.

The Corporate Services Director is accountable to the CEO for their performance and their multiple teams performance.

**Wed love to work with you if you have**:
A bachelors degree, graduate preferred, in a discipline relevant to human service, non-profit leadership, business administration, or public administration; or a minimum 7-years equivalent experience in a related field. A CPA or CPHR designation is an asset.

A minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership or management role encompassing operational management and supervision, financial management including budgeting, community relations, human resource management and business development.

Collaboration and team skills, strategic thinking and planning, superior communication, grant writing, and active listening skills. Ability to oversee employee and team performance on multiple sites, provide meaningful feedback and manage conflict. Experience in managing in unionized environments considered an asset.

Excellent negotiation and delegation skills, highly organized and flexible to tasks, and must be self-motivated and able to work independently. An entrepreneurial spirit at heart and can see or create opportunity. Considers themselves a doer, wants to work on site and can accomplish conventional tasks in a non-traditional style setting.

Problem solving and critical thinking skills, ability to work in a dynamic, challenging environment and comfortable dealing with ambiguity in the workplace. Enjoys and embraces the challenge of keeping policies up to date and creating new policies as needed, while managing teams under multiple collective agreements. Can sometimes work unambiguity but has a solutions based philosophy and approach.
