Role Overview: *
- This role is fully remote, with a “home base” in Toronto, Ontario, and working EST hours._
**What you will be doing**:

- Provide vision and direction to the Agile team and stakeholders
- Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
- Plan and prioritize product feature backlog to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
- Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
- Work with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value
- Contribute to product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionality
- Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
- Research and analyze the market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
- To be the key liaison between the Customer and Development team

**What you bring to the table**:

- 2+ years of Product owner experience in the e-commerce space with a strong focus and passion for user experience
- Experience with optimizing the consumer journey, content management, and personalization
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Self-starter attitude with a passion to be a hands-on expert in your product area
- An excellent communicator with the ability to develop a considered opinion and sell their vision for the product
- Ability to quickly grasp complex products and dependencies
- End-user focused with a strong sense of empathy
- Experience in close collaboration with designers and developers
- A software engineering/machine learning background is a bonus
- Bachelors/Masters's degree in human-computer interaction, computer science, IT, design, business, or other related fields
