As a Paramed Leader you are responsible for managing all operational aspects of a large community Nursing Clinic operation with 5 Clinics located in Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener and London, Human Resource management of Nursing Supervisors and collaborations with Coordination, Intake, Billing and Administrative Staff.

You are responsible to meet quality and performance indicators including regulatory requirements and organizational policy and procedure. You are skilled in the management and relationships within the organization and external stakeholders.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Effectively conveys corporate policy changes to staff ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures Participates in Quality Management Program including oversight of CQI activities related to intake, assignment and invoicing, participates on DQC
- Works collaboratively with Community Nursing Care and Services Manager to ensure alignment across programs and with engagement of Home and Community Care Support Services drive a Clinic First Approach
- Works collaboratively with Operations Manager to ensure alignment across coordination processes

**Human Resource Management**
- Oversees the delivery of orientation, ongoing supervision and performance management in collaboration with supervisors on site. Participates in the interviewing, training, ongoing supervision and performance management of Clinic Nursing Supervisors.
- Provide succession plan within your operation and provide the learning tools and opportunities to meet that plan.

**Operational Performance**
- Ensures contract standards are met such as acceptance rates, consistency, missed care and other indicators.
- Prepares monthly variance reports to support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting provided to District Director and corporate office.
- Reviews the daily utilization reports provided by the clinic supervisor to ensure monitoring and maximization of clinic resources both human and physical
- Influence scheduling practice to maximize use of clinic resources
- Determines optimal intake process to route patients to clinic
- Implements process to migrate patients from community to clinic
- Ensures operational efficiency and client satisfaction through the analysis of operational data and reports.
- Assures compliance for non-clinical aspects of care plan including assignment of appropriate staff, consistency and frequency of in-home visits, overtime, missed care and scheduling errors, Ministry of Labour Inquiries or Demands (MOL) Develops the annual training and in-service plan for internal operations staff.
- Collaborates and works closely with the Care and Service Manager to ensure Quality of Client Care through review of schedules and ensuring service delivery is scheduled as requested.
- Determines workforce requirements and resolves internal staffing issues.
- Approves time off requests for internal/office staff and approves overtime for field staff.
- Drive Quality Care in concert with clinic growth and capacity creation

**Finance**
- Participates in the development, and subsequently implements, monitors and maintains the operations budget.
- Oversee records management to ensure processing/filing of documents, chart retrievals etc.
- Oversee appropriate processing of accounts receivable, payable and collections.
- Prepares operational forecasting and projection reports.
- Analyzes and approves billing and payroll write-offs and adjustments.

**Working Conditions**
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment and meet deadlines.
- A vehicle is required as travel outside the district is required.
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Flexibility in hours worked to accommodate operational needs.
- Driving and physical demands associated with management positions (sitting, standing, stair climbing and walking).

**Health & Safety**
- Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and ParaMed Occupational Health and Safety policies within all district offices.

**Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary education in Business, Administration, Accounting or another relevant field
- Superior oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff, clients, families and other stakeholders
- Effective skills in critical thinking, business acumen and problem solving
- Excellent computer skills including experience in Word and Excel are required
- Able to provide a current, clear criminal background check with Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
- Competent Working Knowledge of: Human Resources I.e. Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Training & Development, App Superior oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, contractors and staff to resolve conflicts
- Effective skills in critical thinking and problem solving
- Applicable legislation (ESA, Human Rights, WSIB), Change Management, Project Management
