**Position Summary**:
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Analyze product, raw materials and packaging materials using established techniques.
- Responsible for working with production personal to provide quality assurance
- Facilitate quality investigations and report appropriately
- Troubleshoot analytical instruments and perform general maintenance on lab equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
- Generate reports as required.
- Comply with environmental, health and safety policies
- Ensure Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in all departments are being followed

**Job Requirements**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biochemistry, Science and Engineering **OR**:

- Saskatchewan Polytechnique Biological Sciences Diploma
- 1-3 years in a quality function within the Food & Beverage industry is an asset
- Experience working in a HACCP environment or another Food Safety System is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before employees of our organization. Ability to write Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office tools
- Highly skilled in data collection and analysis to facilitate effective problem solving
- Well organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Able to work shift work.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $32.84 per hour
