Averton is an experienced and award-winning homebuilder, community developer, and construction management company and we're looking to add a **Project Manager** to bring our homes to the highest level of completion.
This role will play a key part in Averton's continual commitment to our homeowner experience by ensuring that every detail is covered, and our purchasers receive the best possible home.
The **Project Manager, Residential **is responsible for overseeing multiple projects of varying size, complexity, budgets, and timelines. They are to ensure all aspects of preconstruction and construction are harmonized and to ensure budgets, changes, and timelines are controlled.
**As our Residential Project Manager, your daily responsibilities may include the following**:
- Managing the set-up, maintenance, progression, and reporting of new projects through to completion as assigned
- Overseeing and leading the project development team including assignment and coordination of work duties to estimating, drafting, design, site, and warranty as required
- Managing the review and monitoring of project tenders and ongoing budgets to mitigate project risks
- Working with the sales, estimating, and design team(s) to ensure product library is relevant and up-to-date
- Working with the Sales and Marketing admin, ensure all sales contract documents are submitted correctly
- Creating, reviewing, and assigning to estimating all change order requests for projects
- Completing site walk-throughs on a regular basis to ensure site cleanliness and to keep on-site actuals aligned with Averton project standards
- Reviewing project budgets on a quarterly basis to ensure accountability and budget management is occurring
- Analyzing and identifying any value engineering/price-saving opportunities
- Working directly with the General Manager to create operational efficiencies
- Providing support and mentorship for drafting, design, estimating, sales, and site managers
- Actively participating in creation, roll out, and enforcement of standard operating procedures and safety programs, while ensuring adherence from all staff
- Developing comfort to begin to oversee additional aspects of the projects such as warranty and service, project scheduling, and design coordination.
**What we want to see demonstrated on your resume**:
- 2+ years of work experience in Project Management in the residential construction industry
- Familiarity with Construction Management Software
- Access to a vehicle for regular site visits
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Certificate in Project Management
- Newstar experience would be an asset
