The Polyclinic Family and Specialty Medicine Facility, located at 2 Champagne Dr, Toronto, is seeking a RPN/Medical Administrative Assistant to join our growing team.

**Role Summary**

The Registered Practical Nurse/Medical Administrative Assistant will provide day-to-day operational, administrative, and medical support in coordination with the department practices, administrative guidelines, and policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day department operations.

**Responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Assist physicians as needed with patient vitals, tracking, entering, and recording medications,
- Taking basic medical history for physician review and entering all data into EMR
- Perform ECGs, phlebotomy, immunizations, flu shots, H-Pylori, sterilization of equipment,
- Assist other specialists such as allergists and dermatologists with procedures/testing, and any delegated medically related services.
- Attend patient exams and procedures if requested by a physician.
- Monitor daily fridge temperature in compliance with Public Health guidelines
- Act as a resource to clinical and administrative teams as required
- Practice discretion and respect for confidential medical documentation
- Prepare and send documents, update patient files, assist with referrals, book and confirm appointments and or scheduling/rescheduling, and scan in patient documents.
- Administering and explaining patient registration forms, providing patient instruction
- Uploading, tracking and sending out physician dictation/consult notes.
- Assist management with marketing to external referring physicians and updating referring physicians with changes to office functions (i.e., new physicians, referral procedures etc.)
- Organizing department equipment to ensure that the clinic offices are clean and that each physician has the necessary supplies
- Perform all work in a PIPEDA-compliant manner
- Adhere to clinic systems and protocols
- Other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Proof of valid and current RPN license and insurance
- Proof of valid and current BCLS certification
- Proof of current WHMIS training
- TB testing is required on an annual basis
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and EMR
- Second language considered an asset
