**Position**: Compliance Manager

**Job Summary**:
As a **Compliance Manager** at Provincial Smart Home Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards within the HVAC field. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs and processes to mitigate risks and maintain the highest level of compliance across the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry-specific standards.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Understanding of consumer protection in the HVAC industry, including strategies for retention, problem file resolution, engagement with the various functions (i.e., Better Business Bureau) and monitoring and responding to reviews.

2. Knowledge of maintaining effective communication channels between lawyers, clients, and the company's legal team to ensure compliance with consumer law principles.

3. Experience in handling escalated retention efforts to foster positive customer relationships, provide exceptional service, and resolve issues promptly and fairly.

4. Conduct regular reviews of contracts, agreements, and vendor relationships to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

5. Ability to address problem files by conducting thorough investigations, implementing corrective actions, and seeking mutually agreeable solutions.

6. Proficiency in monitoring and responding to reviews, utilizing feedback to improve products, services, and customer interactions.

7. Understanding of the involvement of internal and retained lawyers in ensuring legal compliance, consumer law adherence, and ethical standards.

8. Commitment to protecting consumers, upholding legal and regulatory requirements, and fostering a transparent and ethical business environment in the HVAC industry.

9. Develop and maintain an effective compliance framework that aligns with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

10. Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the HVAC field and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.

11. Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and areas of improvement.

12. Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees to ensure awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.

13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and quality assurance, to develop and update policies and procedures to meet compliance standards.

14. Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders.

15. Investigate and respond to compliance-related issues, including complaints, incidents, and breaches, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate corrective actions.

17. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and maintain accurate documentation for compliance purposes.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, law, or related discipline.

2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in compliance management, preferably in the HVAC or related industry.

3. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the HVAC field, such as environmental regulations, safety standards, and building codes.

4. In-depth understanding of the 10-day cooling-off period in the HVAC industry.

5. Familiarity with local consumer protection laws and regulations related to the cooling-off period.

6. Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and internal control systems.

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions.

8. Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs and processes.

9. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

10. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.

11. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

12. Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools.

**Salary**: Up to $95,000.00 per year
