**Assistant Finance Manager**

**Location: Saskatoon, SK**

**Opportunity**

**This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions but is not limited to**:

- Prepare month-end and year-end consolidated financial statements.
- Assist in the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes.
- Monthly variance analysis.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the accounting team responsible for A/R and A/P.
- Perform month-end and year-end procedures.
- Assist in the annual audit process.
- Oversee the internal control review and policies in conjunction with recommendations from the internal auditor.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support projects and business decisions as required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or an equivalent business background.
- 3+ years of demonstrated expertise in a senior accounting position with comparable responsibilities.
- Experience in leading and supporting a team would be considered advantageous.
- Proficiency in US GAAP and familiarity with SOX Compliance would be seen as valuable assets.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities coupled with acute attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player with a commitment to continuous improvement.
