**ABOUT US**:
Pacific Reach is a Vancouver-based diversified investment company with investments and holdings across various sectors and markets; including real estate, hospitality and entertainment, healthcare, technology, and private equity.
**SUMMARY OF POSITION**:
As a leader, the _Director, Maintenance & Energy Sustainability_ oversees the development and implementation of preventive maintenance, asset management, capital expense, risk management and fire safety programs across a diverse portfolio of properties in Canada and the United States. This role ensures compliance with local, provincial, and statutory codes, focusing on maintaining high standards of safety, security and operational efficiency. The position champions energy efficiency initiatives and is an advocate for economically sound sustainability practices.
**Responsibilities**:
Development and Execution of Preventative Maintenance Framework: Development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for 20 commercial properties in Canada, 7 commercial properties in the US, and 22 Seniors Care Homes in Canada. Upwards of 60,000 work orders are generated and processed annually.
Asset Management: Provide asset management services, maintaining life cycle data and asset replacement forecasting for over 10,000 assets across two property portfolios. Compile the annual capital expenditure budget and spending program for all properties based on life cycle best practices and other factors; oversee execution and maintain protocols for capex expenditures.
Energy Management and Sustainability: with the assistance with in-house energy manager lead and champion energy management and sustainability objectives within the organization; drive economical best practices in efficiency and sustainability
Fire Safety Management: lead comprehensive fire safety management program including plans, manual refinement, code compliance and records oversight.
Risk Management: Liaise with Insurance Underwriters on scheduling risk assessments at buildings as well as assessments on critical equipment and systems. Action and champion best practices.
Property Management and Project Support: quarterly site visits to inspect physical systems and connect them on-site teams, assist with dispute resolutions and participate in due diligence processes for new acquisitions. Assist with security services procurement and monitoring. Assist with budgeting processes. Collaborate with construction department and third-party contractors on projects.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Recommended Qualifications and Experiences:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar field such as building facilities management, sustainability planning, or HVAC / instrumentation technician.
- Registered engineering or engineering technologist designation preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated knowledge in energy management, carbon-reduction strategies in buildings.
- Having a BCEM or CEM designation is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills. Has the ability to set priorities.
- Must be able to travel occasionally to Calgary, Toronto, or parts of the United States.
Pay: $63,621.66-$155,783.33 per year
