The Graduate Advanced Training and Entrepreneurship (GATE) Centre at the University of Regina is seeking a dynamic and innovative **Project Coordinator **to lead diverse special projects that advance our mission and strategic goals.

GATE Centre is a newly established hub within the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, designed to meet the increasing demand for professional and entrepreneurial skills among graduate students. We aim to position the University of Regina as a trailblazer in student entrepreneurship, social innovation, and career readiness.

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Strategic Project Management**:

- Assist in advancing the mission, goals, and strategic plan of the GATE Centre through a diverse range of special projects.
- Independently lead the planning, design, and implementation of multiple and complex projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and organizational objectives.
- **Event Coordination**:

- Lead key projects, including events for the GATE Centre arising from research partnerships and opportunities.
- Coordinate internal and external events such as receptions, trade shows, conferences, summer camps, community engagements, and student events.
- **Operations Management**:Help maintain GATE operations, including managing student entrepreneur working space and submitting reports to donors for funds received.
- **Professional Development Initiatives**:Coordinate professional development workshops and initiatives to support graduate students and postdocs in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
- **Relationship Building**:Collaborate and build relationships with a diverse group of students, staff, faculty members, and external stakeholders to support the goals of the GATE Centre.

Position Requirements

**What You Will Bring to the Position**:

- Undergraduate degree in a relevant area; and
- 1- 3 years experience managing projects.

**Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in this Role**:

- Project management and organizational skills in order to properly execute projects.
- Budget management to prepare and review budgets as it relates to GATE activities and projects.
- Exceptional communication (oral and written) skills to write reports, give presentations and build relationships.
- Proficiency with software and technology including Word, Excel, Adobe and Canva.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Physical Demands Pay Grade APT 2 Salary Range $54,442 to $73,482 annually Status Term Work Hours

Monday through Friday 8:15 am to 4:30 pm.

Some evening and weekend work required to assist with events (approximately 5 to 6 times per year)
