GLO Communications PR Intern - PAID

GLO Communications prides itself on its creative, out-of-the-box approach to PR and communications. As an agency, we emphasize personalized services for all clients. GLO is looking for the aspiring PR professional. This internship is for the independent thinker, mover-and-shaker who is ready to work hard to make their mark on the PR world. You’ll be learning skills school won’t teach you, while building lasting relationships and learning, hands-on, from the best in the biz.

Duties
- Daily media monitoring (using MRP)
- List building (using Cision, Google and a little elbow grease)
- Assist with pitching and outreach, meetings
- Brainstorms and creative input
- General admin work
- Assist with management of events - media, tastings etc
- Writing press materials, blog posts and social media posts.

**Skills**:

- Multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated; should be keen on learning
- Creative thinker; we like to brainstorm and LOVE listening to your ideas
- Self-starter with a team player attitude
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communications abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google, MRP, Cision, Mailchimp (We are always willing to teach new skills and tools)
- Graphic design skills advantageous (CANVA)
- Willing to participate in spontaneous office dance parties

We are looking for someone who is working on their PR certificate, or has recently completed the program.

**Job Type**: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M4M 2E3

Expected start date: 2023-05-15
