Are you a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in compliance and financial systems? Join us as our new **Financial Analyst, Systems & Reporting, **where you’ll help ensure the financial integrity of the University

In this role, you will manage PCI Compliance for the University, including annual reporting, implementation of new regulations, and coordination across campus related to Moneris POS devices. You will also serve as the Touchnet system administrator for all modules, ensuring seamless operation, and complete various sections of working papers and notes for the University’s financial statements.

**What You’ll Do**:
**Manage **PCI** Compliance for the University**
- Annual reporting
- Implementing new regulations
- Dealing with Moneris POS devices
- Research and understand PCI Data Security Standard requirements
- Work with the external consultant and Information Services to conduct a security assessment of the cardholder data environment and improve/adapt a new policy or regulation if necessary.
- Provide vendor with a Self-Assessment Questionnaire and a PCI DDS Attestation of Compliance (AoC) by the deadline. Attend PCI committee meetings.

**Touchnet system administrator (includes all modules).**
- Manage upgrade projects and perform testing for upgrades to Touchnet (including MarketPlace, Cashiering and Bill/Payment).
- Meet with store requesters (MarketPlace) to determine what they want the store to do and how they want to have it set up

**Financial Statements & Notes**
- Completing various sections of working papers and notes for the University’s annual financial statements
- backup for creating files of data for auditor testing two or three times per year; helping Provincial Audit understand our records.
- Preparing a full set of annual Financial Statements and Notes for the University of Regina Press; and working with an external auditor to get the financial statements reviewed and royalty certifications created.
- Manage the annual FAST upgrade testing project, which will include modules for Finance, AR, JV, Research and Budget, as well as being an expert in the FAST Finance Administration.
- Being one of the journal entry final-reviewer and approver (including uploads), and may help with JV pre-review, especially around year-end.

Position Requirements

**What You’ll Bring to this Position**:

- 4-year Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a specialization in Accounting.
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or in last stages of obtaining the designation, with the expectation that the designation will be obtained before end of probationary period.
- _5 _years of job-related experience, including financial accounting experience and experience working with large financial systems and experience in creating financial statements for audit.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations (Part III of the CPA Handbook)
- Canadian accounting standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE - Part II of the CPA Handbook)
- A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access and its use in a relational database environment
- Direct experience working in complex databases such as: Banner, Touchnet, FAST is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to build and foster relationships.
- Excellent financial and computer analysis skills, and ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports and statements.
