Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with a passion for strategic budgeting and analysis, ready to support program growth? Join us as our new **Financial Analyst**

The Financial Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Finance and Administration, oversees the financial management of a portfolio within CCE’s profit center budget, based on a cost-recovery and revenue-generating model. This role is accountable for preparing, analyzing, and managing program budgets in collaboration with CCE program heads, aligning financial planning with the Center’s objectives and university policies. Additionally, the Financial Analyst supports financial processes and provides essential financial guidance to ensure sound budgetary and fiscal management.

**What You’ll Do**:
**Budget Planning and Preparation**
- Collaborate with program heads to draft and finalize annual budgets, ensuring alignment with program needs, university objectives, and anticipated revenue sources.
- Facilitate budget planning, monitor expenditures, and manage government grants, recommending adjustments to address variances and mitigate financial risks. Conduct scenario-based forecasting to support strategic planning, including projections for staffing changes, program expansions, and other financial considerations.

**Program Review and Analysis**
- Analyze program metrics and historical data to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and recommend improvements to program managers and leadership.
- Collaborate with the Dean and management team to deliver data-driven analyses, visual dashboards, and tailored reports that support strategic decision-making and enhance the educational experience.
- Maintain and organize data sources, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for effective analysis and informed planning.

**Financial Analysis and Reporting**
- Develop and present revenue reports, forecasts, and mid-year updates to leadership, detailing tuition, expenditures, and contributions to the university’s operating budget.
- Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations to support profit center objectives and resource allocation.
- Manage government funding reports, ensuring compliance and providing financial insights to program leaders for informed decision-making and strategic planning.

**Revenue Monitoring and Compliance**
- Monitor and reconcile revenue transactions, ensuring accurate allocation across accounts and initiating corrections as needed.
- Track and report on the financial status of special projects, maintaining accurate expenditure records and ensuring compliance with university guidelines.

Position Requirements

**What You’ll Bring to this Position**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Finance or Accounting or a related field;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting.
- Combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Experience in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Regulatory compliance with Canadian accounting standards, university policies, and relevant legislation.
- Budgeting and forecasting methodologies.
