We are seeking an innovative and dedicated Identity and Access Governance Management Specialist to join our forward-thinking Identity and Access Management (IAM) Portfolio within the Cyber Security organization. You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team of Information Technology (IT) Security analysts working in a fast-paced environment enabling NOVA Chemicals to work securely.
The focus of this role is to support and enhance critical IAM tools and capabilities to enable NOVA Chemicals to identify, protect, detect and respond to threats.
This position could be located at any of the following NOVA Chemicals locations: downtown Calgary, Alberta; Red Deer, Alberta; or Sarnia, Ontario.
**You Will Use Your Expertise To**:
Participate or lead the design, implementation and support of Privileged Access Management (PAM) functionality including privileged credential management, user authentication and authorization, policy management, external integrations, workflows, auditing and reporting.
Ensure that PAM services perform according to defined processes, meet defined policies and comply with applicable information security requirements.
Provide advanced support and development services for centralized authentication, MFA and SAML based authentication mechanisms.
Monitor the performance of systems and service agreements to ensure that ongoing service delivery standards, service levels and policies are met.
Actively participate in solution testing activities, including automation of test cases.
Analyze and resolve technical incidents and gather information about more complex problems.
Implement enhancements or propose solutions to operational problems and communicate progress to stakeholders on a regular basis.
Provide on-the-job training, coaching, guidance and support to colleagues.
Assist in the definition and implementation of technical security standards related to the management of digital identities
**What We Are Looking For**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related program with typically 10+ year’s related experience and continued professional development OR 14+ years combination of education and related experience with continued professional development.
Demonstrated knowledge of the concepts and best practices related to privileged access management solutions.
Demonstrated skills to dissect and query LDAP in order to fully understand identity data
Experience with basic development and scripting skills to streamline and automate project activities and ongoing tasks
Experience with Privileged Session Management (PSM), Central Policy Manger (CPM), Application Authentication Manager (AAM) and multi-factor authentication mechanisms.
An Understanding of various Authentication/Authorization Models
Demonstrated skills in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements for the implementation of security controls and technologies for digital identity management
Excellent communication skills and the ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions when giving advice
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, demonstrating initiative and judgment as well as the ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects concurrently within tight time frames
Experience in delivering and supporting solutions to meet business needs while keeping abreast of new technologies, tools and methods
