**Position Title**: Training and Documentation Specialist

**Reports To**: Manager, Group Customer Contact Centre

**Department**: Group Contact Centre

**Term**: Permanent Full-Time

**Work Arrangements**: We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

**The Opportunity**: We are looking for someone who enjoys wearing many hats, excels in training and coaching, and has a solid understanding of Group Claims procedures. As a Training and Documentation Specialist you will create and deliver comprehensive and meaningful process and technology training for our teams. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring continuous learning and development opportunities through the identification of skill gaps, the development of job specific training modules for all employees and through ongoing research of new training tools and methodologies.

**What you will be doing**:

- Analyze and assess training and development needs in collaboration with key business leads to determine and create comprehensive and effective training programs.
- Researching training material from various sources.
- Develop and utilize training materials including training strategies, lesson plans, presentation materials and training activities to maximize learning impact.
- Assess training requirements, provide project estimates and sizing for training and documentation effort, determine project training schedule, and allocate resources based on skill and requirements.
- Facilitate the adoption of innovative training tools (i.e., e-learning; remote training tools).
- Investigate new training tools and techniques to accommodate various adult learning styles
- Evaluate new trends and directions in training design and delivery.
- Evaluating and recording training effectiveness through the measurement of skill improvement and attainment of service standards.
- Perform analysis, develop, and maintain new/existing procedural documentation.
- Execute training sessions to existing staff and potentially new hires.
- Provide additional support for Group Seniors as required

**What you will bring**:

- Knowledge of curriculum design
- Sound knowledge and understanding of training concepts and methodologies related to adult education.
- Superior interpersonal, oral/written communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in documentation and courseware preparation and delivery of interactive training sessions using a variety of methods (web-based training, virtual and in person classroom training, job aids, multimedia visual aids and reference materials).
- Comfortable with managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience of having worked successfully in a team.
- A positive can-do attitude and customer focused approach to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity while promoting EQ and all of its products in a positive way
- Ability to perform in a constantly changing environment.
- Comfortable with hardware tools (scanner/data projector/CD writer etc.)
- University degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Certificate in adult education/learning would be an asset.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry would be an asset
