**Associate Vice-President, Products & Platforms Operations**

**The opportunity**:
Working closely with the EVP, Products & Platforms this role will play a key role in maximizing business efficiency and productivity. This role is responsible for supporting the EVP by streamlining strategic initiatives, managing projects and preparing reporting materials for Executive Committee and Board meetings.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- **Advising the EVP** on major decisions, vision and direction. Provide data analysis and metrics of the Company’s productivity and suggest strategic initiatives to improve workflow, teamwork and budget management.
- **Organize EVP priorities** by managing long term schedule for the EVP to ensure they give maximum attention to business priorities.
- **Researching and analysis data** - Researching key topics, areas and trends and using this information to influence strategic priorities, while relaying to EVP.
- **Implementing processes & procedures **- Working with the EVP to establish processes & procedures and initiatives and implementing them across the business as well as reviewing their performance at regular intervals.
- **Improving efficiencies** by implementing strategies to improve productivity and profitability.
- **Prepare materials and reports** for Executive Committee meetings and Board meetings, ensuring the EVP is prepared in advance. Board meeting materials include WAFI, iAMCO, Advisory Board and SLF.
- Provide an overall picture of productivity to executives and stakeholders, then transmit information to department Leaders.
- **Fostering relationships** across teams by conducting monthly team meetings, quarterly in person team meetings and one on one’s.
- **Team performance measures **determine KPI’s for the department then deliver those metrics to the EVP
- **Oversee daily operations** working on everyday action items, such as working with the department Leaders on project coordination and HR matters; Quarterly Reviews, Year-end Performance reviews including salary and bonus reviews, employee relation matters, recruitment and retention.
- **Manage annual budgeting** process with department Leaders, including monthly cost center reviews, project planning including materials and analysis.
- **Project assessment and facilitation **when a new initiative or special project is executed this role will prepare the financial modeling to assess the risk, cost and work required to achieve it, then facilitate and oversee the project to completion.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in business, management, or economics; MBA an asset.
- 5-8 years’ financial services industry experience working in a high growth environment.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in the wealth management or other regulated industry is a strong asset.
- Proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, and Outlook.

- Research: Researching essential information and presenting it in a concise format.
- Project Management: Project coordination, budget management, data analysis to run projects from inception to completion.
- Presentation skills: Strong presentation skills for delivering data and other information clearly and confidently to Executive and stakeholders.
- Business financials: an understanding of profit and loss, margins, cash flow and other financial concepts.
