**Position Summary
Under the direction of the First Nations Family Advocate, the Housing Administrator will support the Project Manager to explore and secure an appropriate property to establish a safe, accessible, and secure Reunification Home for First Nations families involved with or at risk of involvement with the Child and Family Services (CFS) system. The incumbent will support the development of a comprehensive business model and operations plan and will oversee the administrative and clerical activities of the project.

**Key Responsibilities
- Gather detailed information specific to AMC - FNFAO client housing needs and preform needs assessments for at risk clientele.
- Seek out and evaluate appropriate property options and make recommendations of properties to the Project Manager.
- Provide high level administration support to the Project Manager and team through all phases of project development.
- Prepare up-to-date status reports of activities and tasks as they progress to successfully update partners and stakeholders.
- Inform and assist with the development of a Reunification Home Operational Plan including policies and procedures once a home is secured.
- Identify and develop effective partnerships that will serve to enhance rental and leasing options that are in line with the objective of affordable, safe, and secure housing for First Nations.
- Prepare up-to-date case notes regarding client intakes and interactions for data collection and reporting.
- Conduct community outreach to fulfill research needs and gather information on community programs, resources, and amenities for future clients residing at the Reunification Home.
- Perform work in a culturally responsive manner that is consistent with the First Nations Family Advocate Office (FNFAO).
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

**Education & Experience**
- A Business Administration Certificate or Degree from a recognized college, technical institute, or University, or a combination of two year’s related experience and/or education/training.
- A minimum of five years’ experience and demonstrated competence in the field of housing.
- Experience working with First Nations, with an understanding of individuals impacted by CFS, domestic violence, and those in need of supportive living environments.
- Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven research experience and report writing abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze documents, problem solve, multitask, and prioritize a heavy workload with stringent deadlines.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
- Adherence to standard office practices, procedures and confidentiality.
- Be able to work flexible hours and travel upon request.
- Must provide a satisfactory criminal record and child abuse registry check.
