Winnipeg, Canada Ubisoft Entertainment Full time

You see the vision, transform it into a roadmap of milestones, and inspire and guide your team to reach them. You are the production manager.

You know that video game production is hard, but your goal is to make it easier. You can build a team to share the load, collaborating with and supervising smaller multidisciplinary teams to get your deliverables across the finish line. You will be the driving force behind them all, the guarantor of smooth sailing. You anticipate the things that could go wrong, then get to work and proactively prevent them from happening.

**What you'll do**:

- Be the point person for co-dev relationships with partner studios around the world, partnering with the core team to understand the overall technology or game vision and requirements
- Define and plan the project scope of your specific deliverables, creating the production schedule and developing strategies
- Regularly meet with your team to allocate tasks, discuss progress and setbacks, communicate milestones, prioritize deliverables, present updates, address concerns, give direction, gather feedback, etc.
- Track, monitor, and analyze the production schedule; rescoping & adjusting your strategies when need be
- Provide your team with all they need to work efficiently and achieve quality (documentation, tools, pipelines, reviews, communication channels, etc.)
- Organize the approvals and debugging of deliverables + keep team leads up to date on progress and issues
- Sync up with other teams to ensure consistency, remove blockers, and mitigate risks
- Prepare and evaluate post-mortems to continuously improve our production processes.
- Participate in recruitment to build your team, and foster their professional growth and career progression
- Participate in projects of your own initiative through our Innovation Jams

**Qualifications**

**What you bring**
- 3-5+ years' experience in project management
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver major projects in terms of quality standards, budget, time & resources
- Ability to balance short-term priorities and long-term goals
- A highly collaborative, empathetic, and solution-oriented spirit
- Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Knowledge of agile principles a plus

LET OUR TEAM MEMBERS TELL YOU ABOUT THEIR JOB How Internal Peer Communities Help Developers Share Best Practices and Expertise

With internal, livestreamed events and active communities of practice, Ubisoft's production teams are sharing expertise and best practices to take collaboration and innovation to the next level.

In this article, adapted from a speech at PMI Sweden Chapter Congress in March 2020, Art Producer Johan Oldbring digs deeper into project management in the games industry and at Ubisoft and Massive.

My favorite part is making sure everything is ready so the teams can perform at their best; all the background work behind the curtain that no one can see.

I am not familiar with the video game industry. Would I fit into Ubisoft?

At Ubisoft, everyone is welcome We seek people passionate about their specialties, jobs or the entertainment industry in general.
