The Cross Cultural Learner Centre is a non-profit organization, located in London, Ontario, that provides settlement services for newcomers to Canada. We are currently looking for a full-time, permanent **Youth and Family Facilitator **to join our team.

The Youth and Family Facilitator organizes and facilitates various activities for newcomer youth and their families. A background working with teens and planning events is important. Events may be in locations not on a bus route and are often in the evening or on weekends. The ability to get around the city and work a noon to 8 p.m. schedule are required. Ability to speak a newcomer language is a big asset
- Plan, organize, promote, and implement activities and programs, including sports and recreation, to build the capacity of newcomer youth, individuals, and families
- Identify programs that are of interest and benefit to the target demographic
- Plan and organize special events for newcomers in various communities
- Recruit participants for group activities and conduct focus group feedback sessions
- Conduct newcomer and mentor interviews as part of client and volunteer intake needs assessment
- Train volunteers to assist with programming and serve as mentors
- Measure data entry through an Excel worksheet
- Ensure the safety of clients, staff, and volunteers during all activities
- Maintain an inventory of all needed supplies for programs and activities
- Maintain constant communication with group volunteer leaders, including follow-up regarding numbers, forms, commitments, and support
- Set up work plans for 3 to 6 months and evaluate quarterly targets

Work hours will be as follows: 3 days per week 10-6pm, 2 days per week 12-8 pm (days vary as scheduled). One Saturday per month.

As CCLC works with vulnerable clients in our community, you'll need to be able to pass a Vulnerable Persons Police Check to work for our organization.
