The City of White Rock, Recreation and Culture Department has openings for Group Fitness Instructors. The Recreation and Culture department offers a wide range of health & fitness activities including a variety of Group Fitness classes at each of its sites. These positions will have teaching opportunities at one or more of the following locations: _White Rock Community Centre, Centennial Park Leisure Centre, Horst and Emmy Centre for Active Living, and/or the Kent Street Activity Centre. _

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Group Fitness Instructors who can teach a variety of class formats (Body Works, Fit Camp (HIIT), Cardio and Strength Training).

- Current BCRPA, Canfitpro, ACE, CSEP, CFES, ACSM or NSCA certifications.
- BCRPA Older Adult Specialty Certification is considered an asset.
- First Aid and CPR and
- Experience teaching a variety of fitness classes.

**Position Status**:
Contract - Casual

**Hours of Work**:
Hours and days of work may vary. Typical classes run as below.

**Monday **(8:45am - 12:30pm)

**Tuesday** (8:45am - 11:15am),

**Wednesday** (8:45am - 11:15am)

**Thursdays** (8:45am - 11:15am)

**Rate of Pay**:
This position offers a competitive wage based on experience and qualifications.

$34 - $38 based on experience.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $34.00-$38.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- White Rock, BC V4B 0A6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Fitness Trainers & Instructors: 1 year (preferred)
- personal training: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Certified Personal Trainer (preferred)
