Choices for Youth Inc. (CFY) is a professional service, youth-focused, non-profit, charitable organization that creates spaces and conversations, and operates programs and social enterprises to help vulnerable youth secure stable housing, employment, and education while improving health and family stability. With a focus on prevention, intervention, and support, we help youth, and their families break cycles of poverty and homelessness and transition to healthy, stable, and independent lives. CFY operates programs and social enterprises that create spaces and conversations to address the unique challenges faces by youth. As a part of our efforts, we are currently looking to hire one **Support Projects and Partnerships Coordinator** to join our Education, Employment and Social Enterprise (ESEE) team. This is contractual position until March 31st, 2025, with the possibility of an extension.

Meaningful employment can play a vital role in helping young people gain independence, overcome systematic barriers, and develop a sense of confidence. As EESE, we are committed to breaking intergenerational cycles of poverty, and we have partnered with several government departments and community agencies to provide support to young people while they attach to the labor market. Our primary focus is to improve self-reliance by helping individuals navigate the system successfully.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate with government, community partners, and evaluators to support the maintenance of existing partnerships.
- Assist in collecting administrative data, assessments, and related information to support various projects deliverables.
- Monitor the intake and assessments of program participants.
- Work with existing Employment Support Team to provide wrap-around supports and system navigation for participants.
- Oversee and advise support workers to support participants navigating change to Income Support benefits as they gain employment income; ensuring best practices are upheld.
- Collaborate with the Training & Education team to create financial literacy tools for participants.
- Assist and inform financial literacy support including income benefits and reporting, banking, budgeting planning, etc., amongst all teams.
- Completion of all necessary progress and project activity reports as necessary, abiding by strict deadlines and tight turn

- Maintain active relationships with community partners; ensuring CFY’s work is showing up in necessary conversations, actively seeking networking opportunities.
- The build-out and development of labour market attachment frameworks
- Other duties as deemed necessary.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, or diploma in social sciences field; or relevant professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program development; leadership experience considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in the non-profit sector.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the areas of career development, supported employment, mental health, and assessment.
- Knowledge of and experience navigating provincial income benefit systems would be an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with data management systems (e.g. ARMS) would be considered an asset).
- Use of your own vehicle is required.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- ASIST training.
- A Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Enhanced Reliability Status Clearance are required for this position.

**WORK HOURS**

The position will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, flexibility in work hours will be required for events and engagements.

**COMPENSATION**

The salary for this position is **$62,517.00 - $69,942.60 annually**. CFY offers a competitive compensation package, including: a health and dental program, employer-matched RRSP, and four weeks’ vacation to qualifying employees.
