Duties/Responsibilities:
The Boutique accepts, sorts, and distributes donated goods to Guests of TGP, as well as to other partner community groups. The Boutique Coordinator works with staff, volunteers, Guest Empowerment participants, and donors to coordinate the daily operation of the Boutique. Reporting to the Director of Guest Support and Empowerment, the Boutique Coordinator is responsible for:

- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate a plan for distribution of donated items to guests and other approved community groups
- Ensure that the distribution of goods is Guest focused
- Document Guest information usage as directed
- Participate in the development of a plan for fluctuations in donations
- Responsible for the daily activities in the Boutique
- Meet donors at The Gathering Place Donations Entrance and ensure the proper delivery to the sorting area
- In collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator, oversee the volunteers in the sorting area and the boutique
- In collaboration with the Guest Support Supervisor, assign duties, direction, and support for the Guest Support participants in the boutique
- In collaboration with the Guest Services Team, ensures that Guests can access clothing, toiletries, and household items outside of boutique hours as required
- Ensure that the Guest Support Office is stocked with basic toiletries as needed
- Communicate, where appropriate, with outside agencies on donation needs
- Responsible for the safe, effective and efficient delivery of services to TGP Guests. Application of organizational policies and processes pertaining to guest and workplace safety is expected.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Retail management or leadership
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and to prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with marginalized and vulnerable persons
- Demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to diversity issues
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, and self-motivated
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Clear Record of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Equivalencies will be considered._
