Patient Safety Associate

- To provide support to the Patient Safety group by completing patient safety affiliate tasks.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Monitoring Patient Safety mailboxes, responding to sender queries, registration of safety cases to the global receipt system or routing/uploading safety reports for processing by others on the intake team
- Ensures the timely sending or faxing of Adverse Event (AE) reports non-electronically submitted Health Canada by the Safety Operations team
- Ensures SDEA requirements for training, reconciliation, quality checks and timely report exchange are followed and tracked (i.e. training certification tracking)
- Helps to setup and maintain processes that help track/trend KPIs and deliverables in Patient Safety.
- Support the maintenance of local Patient Safety Standard Operating Procedures, manuals, and Work Instructions.
- Performs tasks as assigned by management
- Reconciles safety reports with appliable suppliers and internal departments
- Supports in the investigation, related to external late reports received by Safety.
- Responds and actions requests for deviation creation in QMS system.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school completion plus a specialized technical or business course.
- Strong communication report writing, organization and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project Management
- Strong commitment to accuracy and details is critical
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to interact with staff, clients and key stakeholders
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred
