**Veterinary Assistant**

A busy and thriving veterinary group in London has an immediate opening for a Veterinary Assistant whose dream job would be helping to care for the pets of their community.

In this position you will spend the majority of your time assisting the Technicians and Veterinarians with the care and treatment of the pets who depend on us.

**Primary Responsibilities**

Veterinary Medical Assistants play a vital role in supporting our Medical Team, who provide excellent patient and client care. Your primary responsibilities will be:

- Using best practices to safely restrain pets during exams and treatment.
- TPR’s and Data entry, supporting the medical team during outpatient appointments
- Making sure the pets staying in our hospital have clean and comfortable accommodations.
- Performing laboratory duties; sample collections
- Washing and sterilization of instruments and setup of our operating room
- Setting up and taking of Radiographs
- Preparing medications and pharmacy items with the highest accuracy.
- Updating patient records and notes electronically
- Assisting with Client Avocation upon arrival and discharge of patients for various reasons
- Communicating with clients about their pet’s visit and care.

**Qualifications**
- A minimum of 2 years of experience providing top-notch customer service strongly preferred.
- Organization; ability to multi-task and Strong attention to detail.
- Truly superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to meet the needs of the person you are communicating with.
- The ability to effectively prioritize and meet multiple requests at one time.
- Must be tech savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- The desire to become part of a fun work family with the ability to contribute greatly to our positive and rich culture

**Hours & Availability**

This opportunity is currently working in person with current clinic hours as follows:
Monday-Thursday 8:00am-6:00pm,

Friday 9-2pm

**Compensation & Benefits**

Our amazing team members can expect competitive pay and great benefits The starting range for this position is $17-20 per hour, depending upon education and experience.
