Production Manager

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS CA division is currently seeking a Production Manager.
**What you’ll do**:
- The Production Manager is responsible for strategically supervising production and production employees in their department, while ensuring quality and safety in accordance with Eaton’s standards. This individual will provide coaching and direction to their team, while driving accountability in the business; ultimately leading the organization to achieve its business level and strategic goals.**Essential Functions**:
- Supervise production employees and ensure strategic deployment of workforce to ensure customer requirements are being met.
- Responsible for continuing Eaton’s zero-incident safety culture in Milton and keeping safety as the top priority in all decision-making processes.
- Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and rule enforcement to safety legislative and company requirements.
- Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels.
- Manage manufacturing employees involved in the assembly process including performance, absenteeism and vacations.
- Implement continuous improvement opportunities with an emphasis on identifying cost-savings.
- Establish quality objectives and evaluate performance in conjunction with quality assurance.
- Implement Lean manufacturing at a departmental level using lean tools and philosophies.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Materials, Production and Engineering personnel.
- Supervise weekly Order Status review meetings with Marketing & Materials departments.
- Train employees with regards to safety, company policies and ISO procedures.
- Provide backup for other managers and supervisors as required.
- Provide all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values, as well as safety and environmental standards
**Qualifications**:
- College diploma or University degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in a fabrication/assembly environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Problem solving abilities.
- Understanding of manufacturing and quality control processes and procedures.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and Bill of Materials.We make what matters work.
