Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Product Manager (Panelboards and Switchboards). This position can be based at our Milton, ON or Mississauga, ON Eaton facilities and offers a hybrid working schedule.
**What you’ll do**:
In this role, you will work closely with US product lines and Canadian product engineering teams to develop and enhance our product portfolio. You will drive front-end efficiencies through Bid Manager and support operational efficiencies at the plant by engaging in Value Add and Value Engineered (VA/VE) activities. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal customers to ensure our entire product offering is included in the quotation platform.
**Additionally**:
- Provide quotation support and guidance to the sales organization on the product line offering
- Support sales districts and channel partners with product training; trade shows, seminars, sales conferences, product launches
- Serve as primary liaison between sales and plant to ensure delivery/design requirements are addressed efficiently
- Participate regular reviews of the performance metrics and collaborate with the sales districts and manufacturing plants to drive net sales, price realization and profit.
- Create, implement and maintain the strategic plan, profit plan, product line roadmaps and launch new products and services into the Canadian marketplace in an effective and timely manner.
- Develop and maintain effective customer feedback mechanisms, carry out a product gap analysis and identify areas for improvement that will meet both short term and long term growth objectives for the product line.
- Create and deploy marketing activities and marketing collaterals targeted to different market segments.
- Understand our competitor's strengths and weaknesses and work with the sales districts to implement Marketing plans that will increase Eaton's market share.
**Qualifications**:
**Basic (required) Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in engineering or business from an accredited institution
- Three years of experience in sales, marketing, operations, or engineering, specifically focused on power distribution products
- Two years of hands-on experience managing commercial aspects and pricing strategies for power distribution products
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Must currently reside within an 80km radius of the posted working locations
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- One or more years of experience as a manager or leader of people
- Strong technical product knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of power distribution, breaker and switchgear products
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English
