Accounts Payable and Bookkeeper

**The Accounts Payable / Bookkeeper at AgileCPA plays a vital role in our company's success. This role is ideally suited for a disciplined self-starter with a strong aptitude for working with complex accounts payable, & bookkeeping. You will have ownership of your work working remote and enjoy working with clients.**
**Accounts Payable**
- Demonstrated experience managing all the payables for a complex group with 7 entities to include; track outgoing payments, maintain records, verify expense reports, review vendor and service provider agreements, pay vendors and service providers, reconcile statements and payment records, ensure payment credits are applied correctly, correspond with vendors regarding billing and payments, analyze accounts, prepare reports, streamline the payment process
**Bookkeeping**
- Perform full-cycle accounting for multiple clients, encompassing bookkeeping, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and payroll.
- Facilitate month-end and year-end closing procedures, including bank and balance sheet reconciliation, and preparation of adjusting journal entries.
**Tax Accounting**:
- Prepare and file various tax returns, including
- T1 income tax returns
- HST returns
- T3, T4, T5 returns
- WSIB and EHT filings, along with other regulatory compliance requirements.
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Must have experience working for a Bookkeeping Service/ CPA firm.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 4years of experience in a small to midsize company, preferably within an accounting firm.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Resourcefulness and tech-savviness would be considered assets.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
