Under the guidance of the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all the production activities of the quiches production departments. This includes planning and coordinating all daily production and the workforce, while ensuring to optimize all operational procedures while respecting schedules and quality. You will work in a dynamic and changing environment, with a constant focus on continuous improvement. You will be responsible to perform all of your work by integrating all aspects SQDCM *.
- SQDCM = Safety/ Quality/ Delivery/ Cost/ Moral

Will demonstrate, promote and exemplify the Company’s Core Values in Health & Safety, People, Quality/ Food Safety and Growth.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organize and execute all production related activities while efficiently using all materials and labour in order to obtain all objectives, strategic, and production related, quality and financial.
- With the collaboration of all the supervisors, ensure all production stages are carried out and modify the priorities as needed in a predominantly manual environment.
- Implement a Continuous Improvement culture and processes, where you will reduce overall cost of goods.
- Utilize the production management software to oversee production costs and productivity and, make recommendations to improve productivity and reduce costs. Track different performance indicators and update various documents and dashboards.
- Manage, coordinate and ensure rigorous quality control in accordance with established policies. Ensure that products meet established specifications and standards and are manufactured on time and in accordance with production standards.
- Applies proper hygiene and sanitation rules to the highest standards of the company.
- Empower the employees with respect to production methods and quality of finished products.
- Actively participate in the development of the staff, particularly the supervisors.
- Set up training programs to improve working techniques and for employee training and growth.
- Manages the day-to-day employee relations of staff under supervision (absences, holidays, scheduling, etc.).
- Ensure that all documentation is completed in accordance with company policies.
- Respect and enforce all company policies and procedures at all times.
- Effective implementation and adherence to company’s Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures including but not limited to SQF, HACCP and GMP to ensure food safety and quality of products manufactured.
- Perform any other related duties required or requested by the immediate supervisors.

**Requirements**:

- Engineering degree or Operations Management or a related field diploma
- A minimum of ten years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience in a food processing plant under federal inspection is an asset
- Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP is required.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and OHSA
- Good knowledge of mechanical manufacturing equipment
- Effective leadership and management skills
- Strong skills for coaching, development and training of production staff
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to excel in a progressive and dynamic environment
- Proven ability to manage change and increase the productivity of work organization
- Advanced skills with MS Office and Outlook software. Knowledge of production management software is a considerable asset.
- Be available to support production as needed including weekends and evenings
