**Bookkeeper Position at Koshani**
At Koshani, we are a close-knit team dedicated to manufacturing quality area rugs for wholesale distribution. Based in Toronto (Albion Road and Highway 427). We are proud of our roots in this vibrant city.
As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our growing team, contribute to our ongoing success, and make a difference by innovating and improving our current processes.
Salary will be determined based on experience
- Must have full-cycle Bookkeeping experience
- Must be proficient in various programs (Microsoft Office, Excel required), with a propensity for learning new programs
- Strong computer proficiency
- The ability to work independently, have time management skills, and work well with all levels of management and personnel
- Aptitude for problem-solving
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and a high degree of accuracy
**Duties**:
Perform general bookkeeping duties, including but not limited to:
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation and organization.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Conducting bank reconciliations
- Payment processing, payroll and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Conducting account analysis and reconciliation**. **Reconcile and balance various accounts, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, monitoring expenses, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and operations, to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial information related to inventory, sales, and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, policies, and regulations.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing measures to streamline bookkeeping procedures and enhance efficiency
- Assist with the preparation of reports and correspondence
- Providing office and administrative support when required
- Handle and process claims and returns
- Track returns in the system and issue refunds
- Generate monthly reports
**Requirements**:
- Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
