Bookkeeper - Roofing

**Overview**
The Bookkeeper responsibilities include all matters relating to bookkeeping, processing of payables, payroll and timely remittances to the authorities in addition to supporting the business in overall full accounting cycle. This includes but is not limited to:
- Recording of transactions in the company’s books,
- Processing of payables,
- Generation of documents (e.g. invoices, quotes, sales report)
- Collection support,
- Bank reconciliations and bank balance schedule,
- Payroll and related remittances and filings,
- Inter-company accounts and other reconciliations,
- HST reconciliation and filing,
- Support in the preparation of internal financial statements,
- Maintaining an orderly filing system for financial records,
- Receptionist as needed,
- Various analysis,
- Process improvements / special projects,
- and other functions as may be required or directed by the company management.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of general bookkeeping principles and practices. Certified professional bookkeeper designation is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability of successful functioning within a small company environment.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational & time management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in excel including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, and utilize formulas effectively.
