Job Title**:Station Chef**

Reports to**:Executive Chef and General Manager.**

**Role Purpose**:
Delight your guests, support your team.

This active culinary role requires a detailed understanding of BOH functions and a proven record of success working in a commercial kitchen.

Strong communication skills are required to interface with your team members and leaders.

You are a focused multitasker and take pride in presenting excellence, preparing innovative dishes and providing world class service. You have an eye for detail and efficiency.

Commitment to understanding and exercising Lakehouse preparation and presentation practices is essential for this team role.

Job Functions:
**Ensure a safe work environment.**
- Ensure 100% Food Safe practices.
- Comply with Work Safe BC, Provincial Health Orders, Island Health, CRD, PPS OH&S and regulations. Report all work related incidents immediately using appropriate forms.
- Prevent harassment and bullying. Report any incidents immediately.

**Food Service and Preparation**:

- Follow systems in place to ensure consistency in quality and plating at all times.
- Use prep lists and par levels provided to gage volume.
- Prioritize tasks based on service needs.
- Fully stock and maintain your station throughout service
- Assist your team with all other stations including dishes when required.
- Prepare accurate prep lists throughout and after your shift.
- Focus on the guests.

**Communication**:

- Maintain a positive, solution based work environment.
- Follow directions regarding shift station assignments.
- Be vocal with your team throughout service to coordinate tickets.
- Work with FOH staff to elevate the guest experience.
- Seek support from your leaders to ensure you have the relevant information needed to succeed.
- Report service issues to Executive Chef, General Manager or Bar Manager.
- Report inventory needs to Executive Chef and Sous Chef

**Facilities**:

- Report all maintenance issues to Executive Chef or General Manager.
- Maintain equipment used in day-to-day operations.
- Maintain clean and organized dish, prep and outside storage areas.
- Maintain accurate daily temperature logs for all fridge and freezers.
- Assist your team to maintain all kitchen service areas.
- Complete opening & closing duties in a timely manner.

**Financials**:

- Use FIFO to minimize waste and over ordering.
- Follow accurate recipes and portioning.
- Record all food waste and consumption.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
