**Chef de Partie - Bear & Buffalo Bar / Restaurant at Fort McMurray Golf Club**

**Bear & Buffalo Bar / Restaurant** concept came to life just a few short years ago as the club transitioned to our new 25,000 square foot, world-class clubhouse. The clubhouse now features our very own **Bear & Buffalo Bar / Restaurant** concept which seats approximately 80 guests. Alongside is a large event space for 180 guests, accompanied by a 140-seat endless-glass patio which overlooks the golf course and the valley from the second floor.

Fort McMurray Golf Club has an energetic and professional team with globally balanced main and share plates - a refined culinary take with a sense of familiar, clever house-made twists and thoughtfully selected + locally available + ethically sourced ingredients. Most days upwards of 80% of our traffic is non-golfers as the **Bear & Buffalo Bar / Restaurant** is chosen by many for our unique offerings. The golf club is host to not just golf tournaments, but weddings, group activities, team building events other non-golf functions.

We’re looking to welcome a creative, curious, and motivated Chef de Parties to the team as our current Chef de Parties has recently relocated, leaving this position vacant.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare meals along side other chefs while maintaining a positive and professional approach with a focus on plating and quality
- Monitor controls to minimize waste and loss
- Maintain a clean working environment with a emphasis on food safely and regualations
- Assist in the creation and presentation of daily features and new test menu dishes with the emphasis on guest needs and desires.
- Solid a la carte culinary experience with an understanding of best practices; banquet experience
- Experience in working in a high paced kitchen
- Exceptional problem solving, communication and multi-tasking skills
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be able to maintain organization with a positive attitude

**About Fort McMurray Golf Club**

The Fort McMurray Golf Club is the premium golf destination in Fort McMurray. The golf course itself has received numerous accolades and has been proud to host to many top golf events. The club was the host for the PGA Tour Canada’s Boreal Syncrude Open for several years, and most recently the Canadian Mid-Amateur Championship in 2021. In 2021, our golf shop also received the retailer of the year award from the Alberta Professional Golfers Association.

**Bear & Buffalo Bar / Restaurant** caters not only to the golfers but is the cornerstone of great dining for the community. The loyal community following for our cuisine grows each year and has formed a stellar reputation in the region. The spectacular endless glass patio overlooks the golf course from the second floor, and visitors often sightings of foxes, black bears, deer and other wildlife are a quite common to be spotted meandering the property.

**Salary**: $46,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
