As the Vice President (VP) of Creditor Insurance, you will be an executive leader in the development, refinement, and execution of the long-term strategy for our Cumis creditor and specialty market lines of business. Championing efforts in close collaboration with distribution partners to ensure our credit union and specialty market products are perpetually meeting marketplace needs, and driving profitability and growth. The VP, Creditor Insurance acts as the business owner of creditor processes and technology aligning underwriting and claims policies to support positive, measurable business outcomes. Being a key member of the leadership of the Co-operators Life business organization, you will shape strategy and proactively partner with leaders across the organization.

**How you will create impact**:

- Develop a sustainable strategy for the creditor insurance line of business encompassing the needs of clients, profitable growth, cross functional technology and identifying new markets outside of the credit union ecosystem.
- Develop and monitor the pricing strategy for the creditor insurance line of business to enhance profitability including demographics, unit costs, expense and profit margins and rates.
- Work closely with the President, Credit Union Distribution and other leaders in developing revenue targets ensuring overall profitability of the credit line of business and effective execution of product and service strategies.
- Develop partnerships with specialty market clients in support of a diversification strategy while maintaining strong relationships with credit unions.
- Oversee a wide array of creditor insurance products gaining feedback from distribution partners on new, innovative, and evolving financially viable products/services. Ensure product financial analysis and reporting of profit sharing, projections and earnings by source.
- Act as the business owner of creditor technology collaborating with IT leaders to align practices to business priorities.
- Lead actuarial credit insurance consulting services collaborating with the Head Life Actuary in the development of actuarial reserves to determine profit sharing reserves.
- Providing oversight and guidance to management leaders for underwriting, claims, product analysts, actuarial, and customer connectivity teams.
- Inspiring and motivating your leadership team to define and execute strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing leadership talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, diverse, and agile culture.

**To join our team**:

- 10 years of related experience in progressively responsible leadership roles in the insurance industry.
- University degree in Business or a related area is required. An MBA or similar broad-based business qualification is an asset.
- You strongly understand creditor insurance products and/or credit union and specialty market distribution. Having knowledge of insurance specialty products and/or distribution is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executive audiences and build trusting relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Accomplished strategic leader with proven successes in developing and executing long-term strategies that achieve operational and financial objectives in complex and significant change environments.
