The Inventory Manager will support the Manager in all aspects of inventory operations. The majority of the Inventory Manager’s time will be spent managing the flow of used product inventory from the buy counter to either the sales floor or storage areas. As a resale (second-hand) store, we process a large volume of product, and almost every unit of inventory in our store is unique. Attention to detail and organizational skills are therefore critical for this role. If you thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment, this role may be a perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing the flow of inventory between the buying counter and the sales floor and storage areas.
- Ensuring that the sales floor is fully stocked with appropriate product at all times.
- Employing inventory tracking tools to track and report on new and used inventories.
- Organizing storage areas to ensure that product can be easily located when needed.
- Maintaining merchandise displays to maximize availability, accessibility and visual appeal.
- Participating in periodic inventory count procedures.
- Participating in the planning and execution of seasonal merchandise change overs, floor transitions and sales events.
- Perform frequent reviews of the sales floor to ensure appropriate mix of inventory and visual appeal and directing team members to assist, where required.
- Staging incoming shipments of new product and verifying deliveries for accuracy, including the maintenance of purchase orders, damaged product, and delivery over/shortages.
- Operating the point-of-sale system.

Qualifications:

- Previous work experience (prior experience in inventory management preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work in a team, follow directions and take constructive feedback.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.

Other requirements:

- Valid driver’s license.
- Availability to work on a flexible work schedule, including some evening and weekend hours, and potential for over-time hours during peak seasons.
- A positive attitude and commitment to a fun working environment.
- The ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Lifting, bending and reaching involved in processing inventory.
- The ability to lift and carry containers of inventory (up to 40 lbs).
- Comfortable with exposure to retail noise levels, which in this case may also include children crying.

**Salary**: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
