Role Details

- Canadian Cancer Society Lodges provide a supportive environment for people with cancer and their adult companions. The Lodges are located near cancer treatment centres.
As a volunteer at the Lodge, you have an essential role in creating a home away from home for the clients and their families. You have a positive impact on the quality and enhancement of life for people affected by cancer.

- Description

- Please be advised that until further notice CCS requires that volunteers within this role will be required to be double vaccinated as per our Covid-19 Vaccinations Policy.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS INVENTORY ADMINISTRATOR
- Data entry of the inventory within the management system
- Processing shipping and receiving of loaned and donated wigs
- Overseeing other attributes, such as taking of photos and tagging of the wigs
- Other duties as required.
Why we need you

- At CCS, the Wig Bank and Breast Prosthesis Services Volunteers are vital in ensuring that all Canadians, no matter where they live, can access free wigs and breast accessories with just a simple call or click.
The Wig Bank Inventory Administrator Volunteer will support many aspects of the program and contribute to the program's success.

- What we're looking for

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and self-awareness in a virtual and in-person settings
- Practical skills and abilities to perform task using Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word and MS Excel
- An ability to work as a team player
- Experience working with other inventory management systems is an asset
- Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to follow through and complete tasks
People from all walks of life with a variety of abilities and interests are welcome. Due to the scope of the role and responsibilities, volunteers must be at least 19 years of age or older.

Your commitment
- Minimum commitment of at least 6 months required
- Monday - Friday, 4-6 hour per week
- Flexible hours per month
