**Jr Project Manager / Jr Project Coordinator**

Kit Steel, a rebar fabricator in Welland Ontario is looking for a motivated, organized, and educated individual to join our team. If you have recently completed your CET diploma and are looking for a career in the exciting field of rebar fabrication, we would love to hear from you

Familiarity with project management tools such as Opentext Brava, MS Excel, and MS Project is essential for success in this role. In this position, your attention to detail and proactive approach will help ensure the smooth operation of our projects, contributing directly to the success of the team and customer satisfaction.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- **Project Management Support**:

- Support the Project Manager in transitioning jobs from estimating to execution.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure alignment with the shop’s overall workflow.
- Assist the Project Coordinator in scheduling deliveries and preparing shop documentation.
- Monitor project progress, promptly reporting issues to the Project Manager.
- Maintain open communication with customers to ensure project satisfaction.
- **Administrative & Document Management**:

- Maintain organized records of project documents using document management systems.
- Manage technical drawings using OpenText Brava and track project dependencies with Microsoft Project.
- Prepare reports for management, documenting project milestones.
- **Performance Tracking & Reporting**:

- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to timelines and client satisfaction.
- Assist with data analysis to identify trends and propose process improvements.
- **Cross-Training & Continuous Improvement**:

- Engage in cross-training with the Project Coordinator and other roles as needed.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency in project management and estimating.

**Qualifications**:

- CTEC / CET diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction plans.
- Familiarity with construction estimating techniques is an asset.
- Experience with OpenText Brava or similar software tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and general office software.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $60,000.00-$69,000.00 per year
