**Senior Project Coordinator - Heavy Civil Construction**

Join us in the pivotal role of Senior Project Coordinator in the Niagara/Hamilton Region. This position entails a multifaceted range of responsibilities, including:

- Interpreting contract drawings and specifications.
- Actively assist in planning and scheduling, overseeing daily site operations.
- Update and review critical path schedules based on site diary entries with senior management.
- Procure materials, issue purchase orders, and collaborate with senior staff to review key items.
- Manage packing slips for site deliveries, ensuring proper coding and weekly submission.
- Oversee material tracking to align deliveries with the project timeline.
- Prepare and validate submittals with senior management.
- Handle progress payments by preparing monthly payment sheets and coordinating with the owner's representative.
- Process subcontractor payments based on approved quantities and senior management approval.
- Identify and price change orders, collaborating with senior management.
- Oversee all quality control aspects, schedule and track project progress.
- Organize and schedule crews, convey task schedules, and attend site meetings.
- Support estimating efforts through quantity takeoffs.
- Foster ongoing understanding of onsite bids and costs, pinpointing inefficiencies.
- Ensure job site compliance with OHSA and CWS COR safety policies, addressing concerns with site leadership.
- Manage new hire documentation and participate in safety investigations as needed.
- Monitor key item work for accurate costing.

Required Competencies:

- Civil Engineering degree or 2-4 years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction projects.
- Familiarity Procore Project Management software.
- Commanding respect, especially in e regulations.
- Thriving under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Establishing strong working relationships across all organizational levels.
- Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability to dynamic work requirements.
- Dependable ownership of work responsibilities.
- Technological proficiency with a knack for learning new programs and software.
- Quick thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
