Alteo is looking for a Data Center Manager for a permanent position based on the South-Shore of Montreal.

** Hybrid: 60 to 80% telecommuting; 1 to 2 days per week in the office **

Reporting to General Management, you will be a member of the company's management committee and work daily with a multidisciplinary team of IT experts. You will be responsible for the management of two data centers, ensuring efficient handling of customer requests, while being actively involved in the operational management of your department. Drawing on your leadership skills, but also on your experience in work planning and organization, you will act as a key player in customer satisfaction and the development of your staff.

Responsibilities:

- Manage two data centers
- Ensure the technical and operational integrity of the data centers (involving the entire IT infrastructure supporting hosted services)
- Ensure the smooth running of electromechanical systems, from power supply to cooling. You will also be responsible for the physical security of the data centers (e.g. access control, fire protection, etc.).
- Ensure that incidents, service requests and issues are effectively managed according to best practices (ITIL) and established customer service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage and coordinate outage support
- Lead team activities, including planning, organizing work and coordinating tasks
- Ensure that projects are completed efficiently and delivered on time and on budget
- Ensure that maintenance work and recurring activities (e.g. backups) are carried out efficiently and correctly.
- Measure, monitor and present data center performance (via specific indicators)
- Manage, control and maintain the equipment inventory, so that sufficient material is available at all times to meet delivery targets (SLA).
- Develop a strategic vision in support of business needs, based on standards, best practices and norms specific to data centers
- Continuously monitor the latest IT developments and assess their relevance to the organization
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with suppliers, while ensuring effective negotiation of related proposals
- Audit the updating of user procedures, technical documentation and processes
- Contribute to business development
- Contribute to the preparation and presentation of customer proposals
- Establish an overview of customer infrastructures to be able to submit recommendations for technological optimization.
- Analyze customer needs and determine the appropriate strategy to meet them, in terms of planning, budgeting, resource allocation, etc.
- Carry out IT management mandates (managed services) for certain major customers
- Ensure efficient handling of customer requests, according to the required prioritization and workload, as well as the strengths and aptitudes of team members.
- Manage team members and participate in various HR processes
- Be actively involved in the resource hiring process
- Ensure team mobilization and full compliance with internal policies
- Oversee development plans for team members, participate in the implementation of the annual appraisal process, etc.

**Profile**:

- DEC/BAC in IT or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience in data center management
- Mastery of data center infrastructures and environments
- Experience in managing technical teams
- Experience working in an SME environment (asset)
- Knowledge of ITIL practices (asset)
- Leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent work organization and planning skills
- Ability to propose creative and innovative solutions
- Respect for commitments
- Naturally results-oriented and focused on customer satisfaction
- Stress tolerance
- Excellent adaptability

Relevant de la direction générale, vous serez membre du comité de gestion de l’entreprise et travaillerez quotidiennement avec une équipe d’experts TI multidisciplinaire. Vous aurez en charge la direction de deux centres de données et assurerez une prise en charge efficace des demandes des clients, tout en étant activement impliqué dans la gestion opérationnelle de votre département. En vous appuyant sur votre leadership, mais également sur votre expérience en planification et organisation du travail, vous agirez à titre de joueur clé dans la satisfaction de la clientèle et l’épanouissement de vos collaborateurs.

- Assurer l’intégrité technique et opérationnelle des centres de données (impliquant la totalité de l’infrastructure TI qui supporte les services hébergés)
