SUMMARY
Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital (“the hospital”) has a vision to create the most meaningful and healthy futures for all children, youth and families.

Reporting to the Vice President, Experience, Transformation and Social Accountability (ETSA), the Manager is a collaborative, results oriented, creative and strategic thinker who can work with a wide range of people to support transformative change. The Manager is committed to creating an inclusive and anti-oppressive environment, and identifying and addressing barriers to allow all hospital community members to thrive and fully participate by bringing their whole selves to work and achieving a sense of belonging.

Building on the hospital’s commitment to social and racial justice, the Manager will strengthen and co-create programs and services designed to drive the hospital’s annual Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Anti-Racism (IDEAA) work plan, with particular focus on improving the experiences of clients and families, students, volunteers and employees from equity-seeking communities.

In alignment with Holland Bloorview’s mission, vision and values, and guided by feedback from both internal and system partners, the Manager will direct implementation of both short and long term programming, including accountabilities for the effective design, implementation and evaluation of the hospital’s annual IDEAA work plan. As part of the key partners the Manager will work with, they will be expected to grow and maintain working relationships with the hospital’s community of students and trainees, Youth and Family Leaders (lived experience volunteers), clinicians, non-clinical employees, leadership, and regional health networks.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Strategy and thought leadership
- Creates and/or updates policies and procedures that advance equity, belonging, social and racial justice at all levels of the organization
- Uses evidence-informed tools and best practices to evaluate the hospital’s annual IDEAA work plan, as well as other related initiatives across the hospital
- Generates quarterly status reports to assess work plan progress, identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Conducts individual and team-based consults to support IDEAA knowledge and capacity building at the program and service level
- Partners with the hospital’s Teaching & Learning Institute, People & Culture, Collaborative Practice, and various external stakeholders to design and deliver multi-modal education and training e.g., e-learning, in-person workshops, new employee orientation etc.
- Produces literature reviews and needs assessments, presentations, briefing notes, and other written materials as needed
- Acts as a key informant for external advocacy campaigns around social, racial and disability justice issues

Leading people and teams
- Accountable for leading the development, project oversight, evaluation, and reporting on the hospital’s annual IDEAA work plan
- Responsible for performance coaching, workload management and delegation for IDEAA office staff
- Represents Holland Bloorview at local and regional health system planning tables
- A visible leader in fostering an inclusive, equitable, and anti-racist environment for clients and families, students and trainees, volunteers and employees; especially for people across equity-seeking communities

**MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Masters degree in relevant field or discipline (e.g., equity studies, human rights, sociology, social work, adult education, disability studies) or equivalent combination of education and employment experience
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience developing and successfully implementing programs, services and curricula through an IDEAA lens
- Strong project management and evaluation experience
- Experience with strategy development and managing medium to large-scale organizational change initiatives
- Demonstrates curiosity and desire to work in a specialized health care delivery environment, with a focus on childhood disability
- Proficiency in financial planning and budget management
- Experience in establishing/maintaining trusting relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and across power differentials, from point-of-care employees to the Board of Directors
- Demonstrated experience in group facilitation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to write briefing notes, program status reports, organizational communications, and presentations
- Basic knowledge of relevant legislation e.g., Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Anti-Racism Act
- Experience partnering with individuals and communities that have been structurally oppressed and under-served by the health system (e.g., 2SLGBTQI+, Black, Indigenous and people of colour, people with disabilities)
