Cobourg, Canada National Shunt Service, LLC Full time

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of driver dispatch, scheduling, routing and to ensure that all activities are accurately recorded while maintaining a strong relationship with the client.
- Arrange the pick-up, delivery, and brokerage of all incoming and outgoing orders with freight carriers and couriers
- Verifying and processing customs documentation for immediate release when required
- Ensure all commercial invoices, and other customs documentation related to the timely and accurate movement of cross border shipments is completed.
- Ensure all commercial invoices, and other customs documentation related to the shipping of cross border shipments is completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Submit all customs documentation to our customs broker as required
- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for keeping the customer informed as well as escalating any issues to the Logistics Manager.

**Qualifications**:

- 1-3 years experience in the transportation/logistics industry,
- Post-secondary education in logistics/transportation is considered an asset,
- Understanding of ocean freight and customs regulations
- Knowledge of INCO terms an asset
- Must be familiar with freight forwarding, TMS, LTL and cross border logistics
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word,
- Demonstrated flexibility with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities with limited guidance.
- Capacity to use analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve problems.
- Team player: ability to work effectively with others
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail oriented,
- Ability to work flexible shift times as required,
- Ability to manage any unplanned events or manage last minute requests from the customers, keeping all parties informed of any changes. This includes creating back up plans for shipments.
- Manage successful execution of dedicated trucking commitments.
- Create and execute back up plans for shipments,
- Responsible for creating electronic orders to facilitate moves.
- Monitor carrier invoices and audit for discrepancies, including pricing discrepancies,
- Track shipments from pick-up through delivery so that accurate, up-to-date information can be provided regarding any shipment,
- Coordinate product delivery schedules with customers, arrange appointments and scheduling.
- Effectively plan and prioritize all loads making best use of equipment and drivers while meeting service requirements. Ensure profitable margins on all loads.
- Maintain positive, caring and supportive communications with drivers/carriers during the route time,
