There are very few times in history where society has faced a critical test that forced us to align around a common objective. 2020 saw the most investments ever in new wind and solar projects. As America de-carbonizes its energy stack, the annual investment in new power generation is expected to double by 2030. With trillions in capital needing to be deployed, Orennia helps investors make more informed decisions using data, analytics, and machine learning/artificial intelligence.

**The Opportunity**

**What You'll Do**
- Communicate with the data engineering and analyst teams to identify data science opportunities and areas that data science could add value.
- Construct practical solutions to these problems that are scalable and explainable to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to implement data science solutions into our data pipeline.
- Maintain existing data science projects to ensure validity and function.

**Who You Are**
- 3+ years of experience working in a data science or analytical environment.
- Interest and passion for the product we build, the industry we’re in, and the needs of the users we serve.
- Geospatial experience is considered an asset.
- Extensive experience with SQL and Python at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Experience with Snowflake, Big Query, or Data Bricks.
- Experience with time series analysis including forecasting (e.g. Prophet or similar) and decomposition.
- Deep attention to detail, quality, and pragmatism.
- Dedication to continuous learning, improvement, and growth.
- Strong communication skills, with emphasis on clarity and conciseness.
- Comfortable in entrepreneurial, self-starting, and fast-paced environment, working both independently and with our highly skilled teams.
- A Bachelors degree (or higher) in a quantitative field.
