**We are looking for an experienced Concrete Pump Operator for a hi-rise project in Kingston, ON.**

**Schedule**:
Full-time, 40 hours a week

**Position Summary**:
As a concrete pump operator or concrete pumper, you will be driving a truck equipped with a concrete pump, setting up equipment at the designated construction site and direct the boom to control concrete output, as well as maintaining the machinery. You will be responsible for the safe operation of the machinery and routine maintenance of the equipment.

**Primary Duties**:

- Co-ordinate the placement of concrete through a pump at the worksite
- Operate the vehicle and loads/unloads concrete pumps and their attachments, as well as high-pressure pumps and separate placing booms
- Set up the concrete pumps and components and concrete delivery system
- Monitor performance of the equipment and the movement of the concrete to the pour location
- Resolve any issues related to the movement of pumpable concrete
- Maintain the equipment, clean concrete pumps and components
- Perform pre-operational inspections, safety and operational checks and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret government legislations, site plans and manufacturers’ manuals
- Ensure strong communication with other workers, supervisors and operators through various techniques such as hand signals
- General Construction Labourer duties when the concrete pump is not operational

**Qualifications**:

- Experienced in operating truck-mounted concrete boom pumps and related equipment and tools
- Effectively able to load and unload concrete pumps and attachments in a safe and efficient manner
- Possess a deep insight into concrete mix designs and handling the effects of hot and cold conditions on concrete mixes
- Proven record of effectively cleaning and maintaining concrete pumps and associated equipment and tools
- Competent enough to perform both preventative and general maintenance on concrete pumps and equipment
- Ability to lift objects exceeding 70 lbs.
- Ability to drive and back up trucks/trailers.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years of concrete pumping experience
- DZ license
- Clean Drivers Abstract

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

Licence/Certification:

- Air Brake Endorsement (required)
