**About Fintech Cadence**

Fintech Cadence is a Montreal-based non-profit organization. It is dedicated to building Canada's financial technology (fintech) ecosystem by serving as the foundation for ambitious Canadian fintech leaders to build, grow, and scale bold solutions. Since our inception in 2017, Fintech Cadence has supported over 400 established startups and engaged with over 20,000 aspiring fintech professionals and students.

**About the Role**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

Recruitment & Intake:

- Identify high-potential Canadian fintechs eligible for FC programs.
- Execute outreach for the ongoing recruitment of the fintech hub and support with other program scouting.

Programming:

- Work closely with Fintech Cadence's team, industry experts, and partners to design virtual and in-person programming, including office hours, workshops, lunch & learns, peer sessions, and networking events based on the needs of the founders in the Hub and in collaboration with sponsors of the Hub
- Lead administrative and logístical activities required for scheduled programming sessions and events.

Portfolio Management:

- Create a communication and community campaign to better engage with our Hub founders across Canada, ensuring that startups actively engage with their peers.
- Conduct regular portfolio check-ins to help guide startups through the Fintech Hub initiative and report back to the FC team on findings while providing suggestions on what we may want to implement.
- Track founders' engagement with services available to them.
- Create and send a bi-weekly newsletter to the participating portfolio to inform them of internal and external opportunities as well as relevant fintech news.
- Serve as the first point of contact for participating portfolio companies and support them through the initiative to ensure optimal success.
- Develop a communication strategy to help founders with brand awareness and communicate their wins, job announcements and overall needs.
- Update our database and ensure all metrics are up to date while collecting the most recent metrics from startups

**Qualifications**

We are looking for someone who is a team player, eager, multi-tasker, communicative, and can take initiative. We want someone who is hungry to learn and grow.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in fintech and/or knowledge in the space.
- Previous experience coaching startups or being a founder is a plus.
- Strong interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship, and venture capital with a particular focus on fintech as an asset but not required.
- Strong project management skills and proven attention to detail.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a variety of responsibilities.
- Exceptional communicator able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, from startups to industry experts to partners.
- Comfortable with technology and use of data tracking.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- French and English are required.

- Identifier les fintechs canadiennes à fort potentiel éligible dans les programmes de FC
- Exécuter une stratégie de sensibilisation pour le recrutement auprès du Hub Fintech ainsi que les autres programmes d'incubation de Fintech Cadence

Programmation:

- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe de Fintech Cadence, les expert.e.s de l'industrie et les partenaires pour concevoir des événements virtuels et en personne tels que: des heures de bureau, des ateliers, des rencontres-déjeuners, des conférences, des sessions de mise en relation avec des pairs et des événements de réseautage basés sur les besoins des fondateur.trice.s du Hub et selon les attentes de nos partenaires du Hub
- Diriger les activités administratives et logistiques requises pour les sessions et événements de programmation.
