Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). **Additional Required Qualifications**:
You are either an RPN who is active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) or an RN who is active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Minimum (5) years’ experience in Addiction and Mental Health with preference for previous experience on a Senior’s Mental Health unit. Knowledgeable in Addiction and Mental Health processes. Proficient computer skills (including PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Word). Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Preference will be given to applicants with instructors’ certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention & Mental Health First Aid. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or Master’s Degree in Nursing. Previous experience with quality/process improvement initiatives or committees. Previous experience as an instructor in a health care field. Experience with data collection and analysis. Previous training as a Connect Care Superuser.
