**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The **Regional **Used Vehicle Development Manager **will be responsible for the planning, organization, and management of activities related to the used inventory for multiple dealership locations operating across Canada.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Support your assigned Platform Vice Presidents in Used Vehicle Operational Excellence
- Lead yourself and the Used Car Sales teams you support in a manner that is reflective of AutoCanada’s mission and core values
- Manage the AutoCanada Aging Vehicle Policy by creating functional work plans to regularly move inventory between dealerships operating in your assigned area to ensure each store has an effective inventory mix that is priced to market
- Obtain and exceed projections for used vehicle sales volume and PVR with a keen eye for addressing inventory gaps through cost effective vehicle acquisition channels and relationships
- Provide mentorship to AutoCanada’s Used Car Managers and emerging Sales talent with detailed training about the value of thorough vehicle appraisals, customer involvement in the appraisal process, reconditioning requirements, etc.
- Drives effective merchandising of used vehicle inventory in the assigned area, to include all AutoCanada point-of-purchase materials being used to drive customer interest and gross profit
- Provide a high-level of involvement in the day-to-day sales, appraisal, and wholesale operations for dealerships you have a responsibility to monitor and develop
- Partnering with dealership General Managers in the effort to develop their Recon Department repair approval processes that encourage Variable and Fixed Operations to work cross-functionally to effectively manage vehicle reconditioning costs, repair times, and overall store profitability
- Forecast market used car sales and profitability results by dealership providing updates to Platform and Corporate leadership on a weekly basis
- Engage and motivate dealership teams to achieve departmental goals, OEM CPO expectations, and deliver excellence through the adoption of AutoCanada processes and procedures
- Managing controllable expense elements for the market Used Vehicle Departments
- Organization of regional auction activities, independent wholesale vehicle providers, etc.
- Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance, which will include working with 3rd party vendors to maximize company ROI on U/C advertisement and lead providers
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s core values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
