Supplier Compliance Analyst

**Summary of Responsibilities**
This role would be the main point of contact regarding Green Procurement and Substances of Concern for YMCA. They will ensure that all products that are sourced for resale or for marketing purposes are compliant within the corporate guidelines. This position will also work closely with other Yamaha affiliates.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Communicate directly with suppliers to provide training and support.
- Ensure all suppliers register their parts in IMDS and maintain the internal YMDS system. Continually monitor part status to ensure necessary maintenance is done in all systems.
- Coordinate and maintain Substance of Concern (SOC) / Green Procurement Program and other corporate requirements with suppliers.
- Co-ordinate internally with other departments to ensure all items being sourced are compliant.
- Send periodic substance of concern surveys to all suppliers in advance of these substances being included in the YGK-A-119 guidelines.
- On behalf of the Government of Canada’s Chemicals Management Plan (CMP), send out periodic surveys to collect required data as mandated by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).
- Develop work instructions, and standard procedures to meet company requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Education Requirements and/or Experience Requirements**
- **Degree/Diploma**:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- **Program of Study**:Business, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Sciences/chemistry, or Environmental Science
- **Years of Experience**:3-5 years related experience
- **Type of Experience**:Procurement, Compliance or Regulatory affairs
**Skills & Abilities**
- BS/BA or 3-5 years’ experience purchasing or environmental field of work.
- Knowledge / Experience with IMDS and SoC Requirements, Supply Chain knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of domestic and international environmental regulations (ex. ECCC, GADSL, REACH)
- Chemical and Material Knowledge
- Ability to read engineering schematics/drawings. Strong customer service and communication skills
